"Works of art are made of concept, material...and feeling." -Kenneth Martin Whether the medium is watercolors, oils, pastels or acrylics, I approach the canvas with the desire to share what I feel. I want the enthusiasm I have for Polynesia and the Pacific to fan the dreams of others. I am inspired by the shapes of O'Keeffe, the color of Van Gogh, the light of Cezanne and the playfulness of Miro. Painting is joy. I see the bold unusual plants, the rugged landscape, the wildness of the Pacific, the beauty of the people and I want to cover the canvas with their beauty. MARY
